HERE WE GO AGAIN.
2008 AUTOCROSS REGISTRATION OPEN!

Yesteryear

WILEY FORD, WV - The “T’s” are crossed and the “I’s” are dotted…and it’s time once to go racing in the Cumberland Airport Autocross Series.

The 2008 schedule is set with only two changes from last season.  Note that the Cumberland Historics have moved onto the June 6-8 weekend thanks entirely to the mysterious workings of the Julian calendar.  Also, we have a new name for our July event, now called the Speedweek Autocross to recognize the Polish Mountain Hill Climb, which has become an annual PHA/SCCA event on the following weekend.

THE 2008 SCHEDULE
May 3-4 - Ice Breaker Autocross
June 6-8  - Cumberland Historics
July 26-27 - Speedweek Autocross
August 16-17 - Summer Sizzler
September 20-21 - Harvest Moon
October 25-26 - Pumpkin Carve

REGISTRATION
There are three ways to play.   You can click on this link to download a 2008 entry form in PDF format.  This form can be used to enter individual events by mail or subscribe to the entire 2008 season.   If you prefer to use a credit card on-line to enter individual events, you are welcome to visit www.myautoevents.com and register on-line.

DON'T WAIT…OR COULD BE TOO LATE!
As our returning friends already know and our new friends will quickly learn, the Cumberland Airport Autocross Series is organized by National Road Autosport with a focus on fast, safe competition and hospitality…designed to provide pleasant weekend recreation for our entrants and their friends and family.
We set a limit of 100 cars per day in order to help ensure the maximum amount of seat time for competitors.  We are as flexible as we can be in our administration of that limit, but please keep in mind that last year the total year’s entries were only 70 seats or so short of a sold-out season, so please make your plans as early as you practically can so we both don’t in up in a bind trying to squeeze you in.

MAKE IT A WEEKEND
CBE (as we know the Cumberland Airport in pilot’s shorthand) is a “destination autocross” program.   To find out about all the great things to do on the Mountain Side of Maryland and throughout our sister communities in Mineral County, WV please visit www.mdmountainside.com.  MDmountainside features complete listings of arts and entertainment, lodging and dining options in Cumberland and surrounding areas.
